I'm Ross aka RossCo, 30 years young and I'm the developer of the BFN site and all things technical.
I started gaming on pc about 12 years ago at least and been in several clans. I've met loads of good guys through the years, some absolute weirdos but over all some very good friends.
I was a founder of a well known BF2 clan called ERR which was multinational as Marty said, I ran the site and many day to day things. We ran some of the most known BF2 64 man servers on the planet. We were ranked anything from 1-4 which was an excellent achievement for the clan, I wasn't heavily involved in getting them there but I ran the site to ensure the users had somewhere to call home. At it's height, we had nearly 1,600 registered members... we hope to some day top that here, so all you guests

Unfortunately things started getting hard to maintain and I decided to come up with a new idea before leaving. I searched for many domain names to kick start my new idea and I came up with Battlefield Nations.
Since my buddies mostly played BF games and were spread throughout the world, I thought that the name was most appropriate. Before leaving ERR, I spoke to a couple of my good buddies and explained my new idea and we built upon the initial concept and slowly but surely... here we are.
I'm a senior developer for a creative company in my home city which keeps me very busy but I have made extra effort to create a new look for BFN, all be it not cross browser tested, as you may of noticed... it will come! IE6 users, FORGET IT! This is the second look BFN has had, a lot of bespoke backend development which is still to be shown and lots of new features. All hosted on a dedicated web server to ensure things stay nice and speedy for our users.
Recently I went a head and bought a dedicated gaming server and surprised the guys, they had no idea but so far they are all glad. Our server have taken off so well, 6 MOH servers constantly full, 4 BFBC2 servers usually full (still need to get our regulars!).
Anyway, I still have much work to do for the network but that's a brief history about how I arrived here at BFN.
