operation flashpoint dragon rising - Oct 01 2009, 21:09

Any one looking at this game? I will buy anything before supporting the COD series. This game is 4 player co op online along with normal online gaming.
Not for the run and gun type.

Its not on steam or gamersgate which makes it hard as the local chinamart dont carry many pc games anymore, just wanting to see how many of us may buy it to make me reach deep in my pockets.

The original was one of the first 3d FPS games I ever got immersed in to... Half life was good but FP was just so different.  If it's near as good then I will consider it for sure.  Hope there is a demo to test it running on my PC!

50 bucks? Ouch! Daddy may have to wait on that one.

I currently have an inside line on an Nvidia GTX 260 core 216, though. :D Someone will be sending my some DDR2 (if he can find it), and another guy may be sending my a Phenom 9600 quad (better than what I've got, anyway). Now all I have to do is figure out where to get an AM2+ mobo... ;)

we shall see, I really dont want to support the COD games un less things have really got better spawn wise and map size. COD4 and 5 you spawn in the stupid places the games just drive me nuts.

Dont bother with this one till more results are in.

A few no votes are,

1. It is not possible to join games already in progress in any game mode.

2. We are unable to confirm any plans for dedicated server support unfortunately.

Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising does not support standalone servers I'm afraid. The multiplayer game is peer to peer only.

Price on steam now is $39.99, but the general talk is the game is just a poorly done consol port to pc, cant even "lean"

The game is getting good reviews,  its still a port to pc with no dedicated servers and no anti cheat in place either (how many will download this game  :o). Co op is quite fun from what I have read.
Anyone else heard any news? Anyone tried Arma2?
